Doch, am Anfang war es schon komisch, als die Straße im Osten plötzlich weiterging. Aber als ich dann drüben war, die Eisenbahn, der Wald, .. die Geräusche waren die gleichen.

Yes it was funny at first, when the street suddenly continued on into the East. But then when I went over, the train, the woods … the sounds were all the same.
