Ich hab 500 Mark im Monat. Früher hat das Essen 30 Pfennige gekostet, jetzt kommt's aus dem Westen und kostet ab nächste Woche 4 Mark. Dann hör' ich auf zu essen und spar' auf die Beerdigung.

I get 500 Marks a month. A meal used to cost me 30 Pfennigs, now it comes from the West and as of next week it'll cost 4 Marks. I'll stop eating then and start saving for my funeral.
